Hi Quilters,
We will meet from 10:00 until 4:00 on Monday, May 16, 2022, in the KMVT work room. Drop by for an hour or two, or for the day. Knock hard on the door, so we know you are there.
We have received many Western-style neckerchiefs that could be sewn into an interesting quilt. How about testing your creativity with that challenge?
There are orphan blocks with a similar look that could be made into quilts. And, there are partially assembled quilts that could be finished in that box as well. Folks like to give us quilt tops they have started, but find they can’t finish. We can make quick work of these projects to create new quilt tops.
Our cut blocks come in all sizes and colors. Come and choose some that appeal to you and make a new top. There are strips to coordinate with the blocks. Or, if you would like to sew a kit that someone else has created, we have several of those to choose from.
We will be tying quilts as well. There have been some loyal folks tying quilts for a couple of hours on our work days. How about you? Can you spare an hour or two for tying? Long arm quilters are welcomed as well. We have some beautiful tops that need to be machine quilted. We always have a backlog of quilts that need to be bound if that is a project you would like to complete.
We have received some contributions. Ceil of East End Providers and Larry of Twin Falls Sewing Center have contributed funds for our batting supply. We appreciate them for recognizing that batting is a big expense for us.
Here is the schedule for the days we will be meeting at KMVT through July:
Monday, May 16,
Wednesday, June 1, and Monday, June 20,
Wednesday, July 6, and Monday, July 18.
