CQ News April 14, 2022

You did it again! Look at all the quilts and other sewn items we were able to deliver on our Distribution Day. Amazing!! Here are the totals:
257 quilts, 378 pillowcases, 52 laundry bags, and 351 cuddle cloths!
We knew we were bulging at the seams with beautiful quilts. We can do so much to help our community in just a few short months. Keep on quilting.

We will meet from 10:00 until 4:00 on Monday, April 18, 2022, in the KMVT workroom. Drop by for an hour or two, or for the day. Knock hard on the door, so we know you are there.

Our Distribution Day gave us some numbers we found where we need some extra quilts. We gave away 22 infant quilts, but there is a need for more. Those quilts need to be approximately 42-45 inches square. We have an amazing supply of children’s prints that can be used and cute patterns as well. This is a quick quilt to make for a great cause: mostly for the NICU.

We will be tying quilts on Monday as well. There is always a need for nimble fingers to help us get quilts on the way. Long arm quilters are welcomed as well.

Community Quilts has been chosen to receive the 100 Acts of Kindness Award sponsored by Con Paulos. Mr. Paulos came to CQ personally to present a check and packets of batting to our group. We felt honored to be chosen for this award.

Here is the schedule for the days we will be meeting at KMVT through June:
Monday, April 18
Wednesday, May 4, and Monday, May 16
Wednesday, June 1, and Monday, June 20
